Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted interest in Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini.

Inter confirmed it is seeking a reinforcement in attack during the January transfer window.

"Pazzini is a player we always look at with interest, because he has a lot of quality," confessed Moratti at a business presentation in Milan.

"We are not convinced that we can sign him, but we are looking to see if there's a chance of signing Pazzini."
