Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has played down talk of an imminent sale to Indonesian billionaire Erick Thohir.
The Nerazzurri's current owner looked to temper expectation.
"Maybe someday, but not now," Moratti commented to reporters.
"Many are expecting this sale as if it were the knockout, but it is not. Deadlines keep being put in place, but they are exceeded by the situation.
"For the moment, I know him as a respectable person who comes from a family of important industrialists, but nothing more than that. Personally I don't know him well, not well enough.
"And then I have to say that we're having these discussions, but honestly if it's not the first round then it's the second.
"The intention is to deal and figure out if we understand each other.
"An Inter without me? Maybe one day, for the moment I see no alternative."
