Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists they've made no cash offer for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

"They have replied that they don't intend to negotiate and that is their right," he admitted.

"It's not true that we didn't make an offer because there was one and we will confirm that but we don't want to exaggerate the problem. I am optimistic and we will have to see."
