Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists Wesley Sneijder will not be moving to Manchester United.
Present at the club's pre-season training retreat in Pinzolo, the Nerazzurri chief was questioned on whether Sneijder would remain.
"I've been asking the same thing," he smiled. "But I hope that he does stay.
"I'm reading of their [Manchester United] interest from the newspapers, but I don't think there is anything new to report from inside the club.
"You read a lot of things in the papers which suggest that someone has already joined Real Madrid, for example, and then it turns out that it isn't true.
"There are a lot of rumours around, but not a lot of money."
Sneijder's future was placed into some doubt following the arrival of new boss Gian Piero Gasperini and his 3-4-3 system.
"Gasperini is trying a few things out that seem very interesting. He's showing the right character and a lot of professionalism at the same time."
