Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has rubbished claims of replacing Leonardo with Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho at the end of the season.
Mourinho has been linked with a return to Inter after experiencing difficulties in Madrid.
"I don't know. I must say that Mourinho is a professional and I think he'll want to do well at Real Madrid," said Moratti on RAI television programme Dribbling.
"These are ties that bind people for a lifetime. What would I do if he asked to return? I don't think at this moment he would ask me, nor do I have any intention of changing Coach."
The first successor to Mourinho was Rafa Benitez, who terminated his contract by mutual consent after winning the Club World Cup in December.
"Instinct told me Leonardo was the right man and I would make that choice again. In my view, he is a person with so many qualities and constantly puts them to good use."
