Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is delighted with Thiago Motta's first call-up to the Italy squad.
The Brazil-born midfielder was included in Cesare Prandelli's 23-man party for Wednesday's friendly against Germany.
Moratti said: "Motta's call-up is beautiful news and I'm very happy for him.
"He has done really well and I believe he can truly be useful to the national team."
