Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti held crisis talks with coach Leonardo after their Champions League humiliation by Schalke. The European champs were humbled 5-2 by Schalke and Moratti admitted his coach was in shock after the game.
"Between me and Leonardo was just a simple chat, he's a serious person who always puts on a brave face," said Moratti.
"He's not used to these sudden changes of situation and we talked a bit about it.
"What struck me the most? The fatigue of the players, we saw that they were no better than two days ago (against AC Milan) and instead everything went wrong.
"On Saturday there was something wrong with Milan and today was worse."
Moratti added: "Moving on, my esteem for Leonardo does not change course now, maybe it changes for him and changes for the fact that he faces a different reality, let's see what happens ..."
