Inter Milan president Erick Thohir is delighted with their summer market campaign.

The Nerazzurri signed the likes of Joao Mario, Antonio Candreva and Gabriel Barbosa this summer, and the patron is pleased with the work done.

“As expected, we didn't bring in a lot of new players," Thohir noted, speaking to reporters at Hotel Mandarin in Jakarta.

“There are some good elements in our squad, so to add five more exceptional talents was something remarkable.

“We expect that Cristian Ansaldi will become one of the main elements of the main defenders, and we hope Ever Banega, Joao Mario, Antonio Candreva and Gabigol can represent the new spine of the team.

“I think the transfer window in Italy was much more interesting than in Spain or Germany. Napoli, Inter and Juventus were very aggressive."
