Inter Milan defender Ivan Cordoba is set to sign for Manchester City.

Il Giornale says City boss Roberto Mancini has turned to the Colombia international after being rejected by Palermo center-half Simon Kjaer.

Inter president Massimo Moratti is prepared to release the 33 year-old Cordoba on a free transfer to City.

The deal is expected to be wrapped up in the coming days.
