Inter Milan are making one final push for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva.
SportItalia says Inter have been locked in talks with Liverpool since Christmas for the Brazil international, but have struggled to find common ground.
Inter remain keen to take Lucas initially on-loan, but the Reds insist only on an outright sale - and at a premium price.
The Nerazzurri will now make one final attempt to strike terms over Lucas before turning elsewhere to boost their midfield.
Only yesterday, Reds legend Jamie Carragher urged the club not to part with Lucas.
"He has had a big effect on the team and he's got to stay there. There was talk of Inter Milan making a bid, or other clubs looking at him and I'm not sure how long he's got left on his contract."
