Inter Milan are hoping to capitalise on Branislav Ivanovic's uncertain future at Chelsea by offering him a lucrative pre-contract next month, reports the London Evening Standard.
Ivanovic is in the last year of his current deal at Stamford Bridge and has yet to be offered an extension.
Under the Bosman ruling, the Serbia international is allowed to start talking to foreign clubs in the new year.
The 31-year-old right back was looking to resolve the situation last season and asked for a long-term deal.
However, Chelsea have a rule in place that only allows players over 30 to receive 12 month contracts.
