Inter Milan are opening talks with Mateo Kovacic over a new contract.
The Croatia midfielder has been a revelation for the Nerazzurri this season, thriving in coach Walter Mazzarri's system.
Corriere dello Sport says with Liverpool, Barcelona and Chelsea now circling, Inter are moving to upgrade Kovacic's deal.
The midfielder is on €1.5 million-a-year through to 2018. However, Inter intend to offer terms worth over €2 million-a-year and extend his agreement to 2019.
Intermediaries, meanwhile, have been told by Inter to inform any interested club that it will take €40 million to prise Kovacic away.
