Inter Milan are monitoring Vincent Kompany's situation at Manchester City.

Kompany's fitness problems have left City boss Pep Guardiola frustrated and there is speculation in England that the Belgian's time with the club is coming to an end.

Sportmediaset says Inter are monitoring developments closely and a move in January could be on.

The Belgian, 30, is highly regarded inside Inter and despite his fitness problems, there is a belief he is worth a punt.

City aren't expected to stand in the way should Inter firm up their interest.
