Inter Milan midfielder Antonio Candreva has denied claims of spitting at fans during their 0-0 draw with Lazio.

Candreva assured he did not spit and swear at Inter supporters who jeered him.

“Some things were reported that I shouldn't even have to be here denying," Candreva commented on Inter TV.

“Players spit on the field a lot, it doesn't mean you are spitting at someone, let alone the fans. I also swore because I was angry at myself for not keeping the ball in play.

“I just wanted to make that clear and say always Forza Inter."
