Inter Milan are considering a shock move for former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. The 36-year-old is unattached after he announced his retirement from the game last summer following a brief spell at Malaga.

Sportmediaset says Inter see Van Nistelrooy as a replacement for Diego Milito, after the Argentine striker was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury.
