Inter Milan are in talks with Sampdoria for striker Giampaolo Pazzini. Inter president Massimo Moratti admitted his admiration for the Italy international yesterday.
And Telelombardia says in the evening, a meeting was held between the two clubs - with Tullio Tinti, Pazzini's agent, also present.
Negotiations were positive, with all parties breaking up pleased with results.
Inter are willing to pay €16 million cash plus include youngster Jonathan Biabiany in exchange for Pazzini.
Samp asked for Inter defender Davide Santon, but that was a non-starter. More talks are scheduled for this afternoon.
