La Stampa says Inter have held a fresh round of talks with Ronie's brother and agent, Roberto de Assis, on the approval of new coach Jose Mourinho.

Assis knows Inter are serious about a deal for Ronaldinho, though negotiations have not moved past the preliminary stage.

Meanwhile, Mourinho will be back from his trip to Japan today to ask Inter chiefs about progress over deals for Genoa winger Abdoulay Konko, Roma's Amantino Mancini and the Chelsea trio of Frank Lampard, Ricardo Carvalho and Ashley Cole.
