Inter Milan failed with a swap bid last week for West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna.

It's emerged Inter made an attempt for the Italy international in the final hours of deadline day on Thursday. The Nerazzurri were offering Marcelo Brozovic in part exchange, but a deal couldn't be struck.

Brozovic's agents had been spotted in London on multiple occasions over the summer.

Inter were seeking Ogbonna as a replacement for Jeison Murillo, who left for Valencia.
