Inter Milan loanee Podolski planning on Arsenal return

Inter Milan striker Lukas Podolski is planning to return to Arsenal at the end of the season.

The Germany international moved to Inter in January but has failed to make an impact in Serie A under Roberto Mancini.

Podolski, who has been with Arsenal since 2012, is now hoping to be a regular for the Gunners next term following his subpar spell with the Nerazzurri.

"I think I'll have the opportunity of playing as a starter when I go back to Arsenal," Podolski said according to Football Italia.

"I still have one year in my contract, so we'll see what happens. At Arsenal I lived two beautiful seasons, scoring many goals and producing many assists.

"This year things didn't go as well and for this reason I decided to change teams, but now I feel ready."

The 29-year-old forward failed to start a game for the Gunners in the first half of the season, making only seven substitute appearances in the league, although he scored three times in the Champions League.
