Inter Milan keeper Viviano joining Parma for Italy chance

Inter Milan goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano says he has his sights set on an Italy recall after joining Palermo on-loan.

Having recently made a return to training after six months out with a serious knee injury, Viviano took time to reassure Rosanero fans at his unveiling of his fitness and determination to do well.

"I feel great, the day after my injury I was working. In life there are worse things and the injury is already behind me and I just want to play.

"I spoke to Inter and said that I wanted to play, to regain my place in La Nazionale. They were honest and released me out so as to play. I'm ready, it will now depend on the Coach.

"People here have shown so much affection in just two days and I was amazed. I'm not interested in the goals that I concede, I only care about the results of the team. My role has a responsibility, one that is part of my job.

"It does not seem fair to talk about Palermo's season up until this moment. I'll try and give a hand with my qualities, for the good of the team.

"Last year there was a great goalkeeper here in [Salvatore] Sirigu, who is also a friend of mine. I want to give the best, then we shall see the details."
