Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic admits Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel was his idol.

Handanovic also sees the Premier League as the toughest for a goalkeeper in Europe.

"Peter Schmeichel was the goalkeeper I modelled myself on," he said. "He is one of the best ever and has won everything, playing for seven or eight years at the highest level for Manchester United.

"For a goalkeeper I think the Premier League is the most difficult. Goalies are poorly protected there and the games are more physical."
