Inter Milan intend to sell Cristian Chivu in January.

Bucharest media sources say Chivu, with his contract due to expire in June, could be on his way from Inter in January - with the Premier League the most likely destination.

Indeed, it's claimed rumours of Inter bidding for Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic stems from plans to offload Chivu.

The Romanian defender is on the wanted lists of Liverpool and Manchester City.

Tottenham will also be offered Chivu, with manager Harry Redknapp having concerns over his central defensive options.
