Inter Milan are interested in Tottenham midfielder Erik Lamela.

Sky Italia reports the 25-year-old has emerged as a target for the Serie A giants.

That is despite the fact that Lamela was out of action for over a YEAR with a persistent hip injury on both joints, that required double surgery and months of rehab.

Inter, currently fourth in the race for the Scudetto, are using Walter Sabatini's connection to try and bring the Argentina international back to Italy. The Inter chief signed Lamela for Roma.

Tottenham, though, are not thought to be entertaining any sales this summer.
