Inter Milan icon Materazzi can't see Anzhi release Eto'o for loan return

Inter Milan icon Marco Materazzi doesn't believe Anzhi will allow Samuel Eto'o to return to the club on-loan.

There were reports over the last few days that Anzhi star Eto’o would use the Russian winter break to play for the Nerazzurri in January and February.

“Samuel is in love with Inter, but I don’t think this return is viable. He is very happy in Russia,” Materazzi told Sky Sport Italia .

“Naturally, as an Inter fan I hope he can return and score many more goals for the Nerazzurri. Inter are not going through a positive time and a player like Samuel would certainly be useful.

“I doubt the Russians want to let him go, even if their League is on a break.”
