Inter Milan hero Esteban Cambiasso believes the return to form of Ivan Perisic has been key to their recent revival.

Mauro Icardi struck four goals in yesterday's thrashing of Sampdoria, but Cambiasso says it is Perisic who is making Inter's attack tick.

"The four goals of Mauro Icardi are fundamental, but for me it is more important to see Ivan Perisic playing well, because it would mean a lot to have rediscovered a player like him," said Cambiasso.

"For Inter, it can mean so much more. Mauro was never completely lost and came back from an injury. But in Ivan's case, he seemed lost.

"The midfield performed well today."
