Inter Milan great Materazzi not making special plans as Chennaiyin get ready for Pune

Chennaiyin FC player-manager Marco Materazzi insists he will not alter his game style in Tuesday's vital Indian Super League (ISL) clash with FC Pune City.

Materazzi's second-placed side need a win over third-placed Pune to go top of the ISL table and even though his opponents are managed by fellow countryman Franco Colomba and have a number of Italians in the squad, the Inter Milan great is unlikely to do things any differently.

"They have an Italian defence and an Italian manager, so they are bound to be well organized!" Materazzi said ahead of the clash.

"But we don't have any special preparations, we're going to play the same. If you have good attackers, like us, you go out and attack, and if you have good defenders, you change the tactics accordingly."

Former Italy international Materazzi added: "Tomorrow is important, it's like a final; it's the same for Pune too. So no, I don't see the need to rest any players."

Chennaiyin, who have won three and drawn two of their six fixtures, sit a point behind league leaders Atletico de Kolkata and one ahead of Pune who have saluted in their past two outings.
