Inter Milan are encouraging Chelsea to make an offer for striker Adriano.

During talks over Hernan Crespo's situation, Inter directors Marco Branca and Lele Oriali offered the Brazilian to Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon.

At the time, Kenyon was unenthusiastic, however Corriere dello Sport says Blues management are rethinking their position given that Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou will be lost midseason to the African Nations Cup.

More talks between the clubs are scheduled in the coming days over Adriano and also Inter president Massimo Moratti's interest in Frank Lampard.
