Inter Milan are exploring the prospect of re-signing Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid.

Corriere dello Sport says Inter coach Luciano Spalletti has approved the move for the Croatia international.

Kovacic is prepared to leave Real this summer after struggling to nail down a regular first team place.

The midfielder, 23, left Inter in 2015 for Madrid.

Along with Kovacic, Inter are also eyeing Sporting CP ace William Carvalho.
