Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia admits they failed to handle Napoli's attack last night.

Inter were thumped 3-0 at San Paolo.

Ranocchia said: “We concede a lot of goals and cannot afford to do that. In defence we were forced to backtrack and retreat towards our goal. We have to find the right balance and be more determined when we lose possession.

“Perhaps we lack something in the defensive mechanisms and movements. We have to give everything to get the ball back straight away.

“This is a slip-up, but we have to go forward. This squad has quality and with the Coach we'll sort out the things that are going wrong."
