Inter Milan are confident Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez wants to join them.
Corriere dello Sport says Tevez has told City chiefs he wants to move to Inter, despite rival interest from Arsenal.
Arsenal want Tevez in a swap for Samir Nasri.
City boss Roberto Mancini is helping the move by leaving Tevez out of his squad for tonight's Premier League opener against Swansea City.
Tevez would arrive at Inter as a replacement for the Anzhi-bound Samuel Eto'o, though Atletico Madrid veteran Diego Forlan has made it known he'd be open to moving to the Nerazzurri this month.
