Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni is treading a fine legal line over Wesley Sneijder's non-selection.

Sole 24 Ore says Strama's claims that Sneijder is not being selected for "technical reasons" is to protect the club from any legal action from the Dutchman's camp.

It's claimed Sneijder may have a case if Strama was to say the midfielder wasn't being played because he refuses to accept a pay-cut demanded by the board.

It's suggested any legal action would be a long shot, but Strama is keeping the club's best interests at heart when discussing publicly Sneijder's position.
