Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti has confirmed they're trying to sign Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric.

Spalletti spoke after their friendly win over Lyon.

"The club is doing what they can to bring it about," he explained.

"I am dreaming of it like all the Inter fans, he would be fundamental for any team including ours.

"We are ready for whatever happens.

"Still there are days to go during the transfer window and I hope something happens. If in the end we sign Messi then I would be delighted to accept it."
