New Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti is joining the battle for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The Poland international, with a year to run on his current deal, is ready to leave Arsenal permanently this summer.

Juventus have been attempting to strike terms with the Gunners, though their offer has so far fallen short.

Sportitalia says Spalletti has now come forward, having worked with Szczesny at Roma for the past two seasons.
