Inter Milan coach Spalletti fuming after Fiorentina draw: Even Mum knows we need signings!

Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti was angry after their 1-1 draw with Fiorentina last night.

Mauro Icardi had opened the scoring somewhat against the run of play and they relied on Samir Handanovic heroics, but Giovanni Simeone snatched a stoppage-time equaliser for the Viola.

Spalletti was visibly frustrated and even angry when asked if Inter were short in some areas.

“I can't take it anymore, I don't know what else to say… Why don't you go to the locker room and tell them if they aren't good enough? I do my work, there are difficulties, it's obvious to everybody that we are missing a centre-back. Do you want a reward for being able to count the number of players in the squad? Even my 80-year-old mother at home knows we are missing a centre-back.

“You've asked me the same thing since the start of the season, I've told you the same answer 750 times, but you keep asking. We have to work and win, not lose credibility and cry at the lack of a player.

“We have to make do with what we have and in my view we put in a good performance at times. I won't use this as an excuse, because I have to do my work and win pushing through these situations.

"We struggled to keep the ball and we didn't keep the right distances. We ended up bunched together."
