Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti is quietly confident of keeping hold of Ivan Perisic.

Perisic is again being linked with Manchester United after an impressive World Cup with Croatia.

"In the last few days I talked to Perisic who finished the celebrations, he told me he is mentally tired and in terms of energy," Inter Milan boss Spalletti said.

"He must recover but he has not told me anything that concerns his desire to stay here in Milan."

Mourinho had followed his progress for some time and even sought a second opinion from friends Predrag Mijatovic and Davor Suker on a visit to Zagreb.
