Inter Milan coach Ranieri refuses to resign after Napoli defeat

Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri was defiant after defeat to Napoli.

The Nerazzurri have not scored in their last five official games and lost seven of the last eight matches, including tonight's 1-0 away to Napoli.

"We lost games, but we have the hunger and determination to return to winning ways. It was a particular game and we knew Napoli would attack us, as they are flying on the wings of enthusiasm from their Chelsea win," said the Coach.

"We tried to attack them too and didn't manage it, although we did close down many of the spaces for them.

"Everything must be one step at a time. We need to score a goal and that is the way to find a win. There was that golden opportunity for Giampaolo Pazzini and he didn't manage it, so it's a great shame.

"We lost the ball in midfield and Napoli were really fired up for seven minutes after their goal, then we got back into the match."
