Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri explained leaving Dejan Stankovic in the stands for their draw with Catania.

Stankovic was not even included in the squad.

Ranieri explained it by stating "he didn't look in good shape," but there does not appear to be an injury.

"It's not true that I wanted to punish him for his anger after a substitution against Napoli, nor is it true I always replace the same players."
