Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri hopes to hold onto his job after their 2-2 draw with Catania.

Inter fought back from 2-0 down to snatch a 2-2 draw with Catania in the final minutes of last night’s match.

Ranieri said: “My position? The important thing is Inter. I just try to do my best for the team. The response was an important one and we finally managed to get a goal, which we’d been missing for a long time.

“This side does not give up and that is important. I do not run away when faced with difficulties. This is a strange year after so much success, so we have to plan and see which players can be useful for the team.

“I have a two-year contract and hope to stay. I just focus on working as best I can. It’s not a simple case, but I believe.

“Can we get third place? Let’s first of all concentrate on earning a victory, as already today we achieved something very impressive.”
