Inter Milan coach Mourinho: That's what Julio Cesar is paid for

Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho admits he was grateful to goalkeeper Julio Cesar after their 3-1 victory over Torino.

The Brazilian was forced to make some desperate saves in the final 15 minutes and Mourinho considered it hardly unusual.

He said: "Massimo Moratti pays Julio Cesar to make some great saves like he did today, not to go on vacation…"

A Marco Pisano own goal opened the scoring for Inter before Maicon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck.

Mourinho added: "The tactical system is not important to me, what counts is the principle of the play. I realise in Italy there is a lot of talk about tactics, but I prefer to focus on the quality of work and general approach everyone takes.

"Ibra played three marvellous games this week and I hope he always does this well. Adriano is very talented and in my view the work he did for the team today was more important than the goal scored against Panathinaikos."
