Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri says the collapse of Fredy Guarin's swap for Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic was not only due to a fans' protest.
Mazzarri talked about the deal after their stalemate with Catania.
"I will only say the fans were not the only reason, as there were other evaluations at the last minute that led to this decision. That's what the directors told me.
"The club knows what I asked for in the transfer window. I hope they can do those things, but if they don't then we'll continue working with this group."
