Inter Milan coach Walter Mazzarri wants a fourth substitution ruling introduced.
From the 2012-13 season, Serie A has expanded benches with up to 12 players available per game rather than the traditional seven.
"In general I always try to make three substitutions and if I could I'd do four. Why not change the rule?" said Mazzarri in the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"You'd have more opportunities to change the way a game is going and help control the fitness levels of the men at your disposal."
