Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini doesn't believe Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved wanted to injure Luis Figo in a nasty tackle during Sunday's 0-0 draw.
Nedved became public enemy No 1 in Milan when he broke Figo's fibula with a challenge during the Derby d'Italia.
But Mancini says: "I think that Nedved's foul was just a routine one and he was going for the ball.
"We are saddened by what has happened to Figo, but these things can happen."
