Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini has snapped back at his critics after a dismal start to the season.
The Nerazzurri have been bitterly criticised in the media and jeered by fans after a series of poor results, but Gasperini insists his men have done well.
"I know that the result is what counts, but we did not deserve to reap so little from what we sowed in these games. There were refereeing errors that weighed heavily on us and could've changed the result, not to mention the judgment of this team.
"We're not thinking of anything unseemly and of course are aware of the defects we need to improve to build a solid base. The truth is that Inter always attract extra criticism with a nastier edge.
"They say Roma played well against us, but if we had so many scoring opportunities, then clearly we can't have been that bad. The fans helped us throughout the game and I think the jeers were only down to the final result. It's up to us to bring back enthusiasm with good performances and wins."
