Inter Milan chiefs move to beat Juventus for Arsenal keeper Szczesny

Juventus face late competition for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Juve have been in talks with Arsenal since the end of last season about a deal for the Pole, who spent the past year on-loan at Roma.

However, Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla reports Inter Milan are also in contact with the Gunners for Szczesny.

Inter now have former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti and sports director Walter Sabatini in place at San Siro. They're now driving a reunion with Szczesny for next season.

At Juve, the Gunners keeper would face a year as Gigi Buffon's understudy. Whereas Inter chiefs insist he will be allowed to compete with Samir Handanovic for immediate No1 status.
