Inter Milan are preparing a bid for Tottenham winger Gareth Bale.

Inter coach Rafa Benitez is a big fan of Bale and has recommended the Welshman to president Massimo Moratti.

Moratti and his GM Marco Branca are convinced they can bring Bale to Italy next season should Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Bale only signed a new deal with Tottenham earlier this year, but that won't faze Moratti, who has hardly touched the €100 million Inter made from last season's Treble triumph.
