Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti insists coach Luciano Spalletti is safe.

Spalletti's job has come under question after the appointment of new sporting chief Beppe Marotta.

Zanetti said, "We don't evaluate his work with by a defeat or a win, he's a very good Coach, a great professional who puts all his passion on the pitch.

“We need to analyse as we go, we're happy with him even if we'll make our assessments at the end of the season.

“He needs to work calmly, we want to face every competition as protagonists."
