Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti has praised Lazio over their impact this season.

Lazio have reached second place after a superb run of form.

Zanetti said: "Lazio deserve second place for what they're doing, but eight games is a long way to go and anything could happen.

"They're proving that they have great balance and some great players, the numbers speak for themselves."
