Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti is confident Mauro Icardi will soon pen new terms.

The striker is among the lowest paid at Inter, but has emerged as a key player for Nerazzurri coach Roberto Mancini.

"We are glad he is with us, but for him it would be important (to sign a new contract).

"We are talking to him about a renewal, we are close," says Zanetti, "and we hope to soon offer some good news."
