Inter Milan chief Thohir cools interest in Man Utd's Chicharito, Chelsea's Torres

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has denied claims that his club has held talks with a pair of Premier League strikers.

Manchester United's Mexico international Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez and Chelsea's Spanish ace Fernando Torres have both been linked with the Nerazzurri recently.

Chicharito's link comes after United defender Nemanja Vidic agreed to join Inter in the summer but Thohir has played down suggestions the Italian outfit were after the former Guadalajara man.

Thohir also made it clear that Inter were not looking at attempting to lure Torres away from Stamford Bridge.

"Chicharito is a good player but we have not spoken neither with he nor with Torres," he told reporters.

Hernandez has seldom featured for the Red Devils this season, making just four Premier League starts for a total of 16 appearances, while Torres continues to be linked with a potential Chelsea exit despite making 27 appearances this term.

Inter currently sit fifth on the Serie A table, a point behind fourth-placed Fiorentina, but 11 off Napoli who are in third. Runaway leaders Juventus are 14 points clear on top ahead of second-placed Roma.
