Inter Milan CEO Ernesto Paolillo has defended coach Jose Mourinho for blanking the post-match media conference after their victory over Lecce.

Mourinho was slammed by Lecce coach Mario Beretta for showing a 'lack of respect', but Paolillo argued: "I believe that everyone must respect the position of Bepp Baresi.

"His professional skills and decision-making is something that Mourinho has not denied, instead he has only given space to Baresi. There is no problem: it is just how Mourinho works.

"He leaves space for his employees who are entitled to have the same respect as people give Mourinho."
